Welcome To The World
Terms and Conditions
1. The Documentary
Welcome to the World is an international documentary project. The film is about childbirth around the world and will tell the stories of women and babies in different countries, including the USA, Sierra Leone, Cambodia and the UK.
It will explore issues of infant and maternal mortality and the lottery of birth: we are interested in the different experiences and opportunities available for mothers and babies in different countries.
We are also developing an international online resource of user-generated home videos of birth and babies. This resource is intended to compliment the documentary and may also be a source of some footage to be used within the documentary.
2. Broadcast of the Documentary
The documentary is part of the Why Poverty? Campaign. There is more information at HYPERLINK "http://www.whypoverty.net" www.whypoverty.net. Welcome to the World is one of eight films in the campaign, and will be broadcast in Autumn 2012 on 47 channels around the world. These include the BBC in the UK, PBS in the USA, Arte in France and more.
