Every two minutes a house in Britain is burgled. Now the police are fighting back with a new ‘Capture House’ initiative.

For years, Nottingham has suffered the highest burglary rates in the UK; if you live in NG5 you are more likely to be burgled than anywhere else in Britain. But Nottinghamshire Police have had enough and are going to extreme lengths to make the homes of Nottinghamshire safe again. The force’s Burglary Team have decided to start rigging houses with video cameras, lure the burglars in, catch their thievery red-handed on video, ID them, and then hunt them down.
